Here at Akula Sportfishing, we like to keep it simple & exciting. The fishing experiences we provide you are focused on delivering the ultimate fishing adventure. Whether you're looking to have a day out with a bunch of mates or spend some quality time with family, we have the options covered!
Catering for a maximum of 5 guests, we offer a choice of full-day and half-day packages, taking you to either the inner or outer reefs of the Great Barrier Reef. We cater to both private or shared charter options. Our minimum age requirement is 10 years of age.
What's included
- All fishing equipment, bait & tackle. Lures, jigs & vibes. All lost tackle charged at cost.
- Highly knowledgeable and experienced skipper
- Drinks (non-alcoholic)
- Catch bled, bagged and iced (Private and outer reef charters only)

- BYO alcohol. No glass please.
- Sun protective clothing, hat, sunglasses

TERMS & CONDITIONS
All Private Charters and Outer Reef Shared Charters require payment in full by 10 days before charter date.
- 100% refund if customer cancels up to 7 days prior to charter departure.
- 100% refund due to operator cancellation.
- No refund within 7 days of charter departure if customer cancels.
- The operator reserves the right to move reef charters to calm water options (including estuary) in the event weather conditions prevent accessing the reef. If these potential alternative options are unsuitable, please ensure you have travel insurance or pay via a credit card that provides you with travel insurance. Alternatively a travel credit up to 12 months can be provided.
We ask you to please remember
All trips are subject to weather, and we reserve the right to transfer to coastal reef/estuary alternatives.
Your reef charter prices are subject to change and Shared Charters can be cancelled with a full refund provided if the minimum numbers aren’t reached.
